| We were so close that we could not pass up an afternoon trip to Venice, Italy. |

| I would tell you how terribly romantic this place is, but don't you forget: |

| we were traveling with this guy -- who is teething -- (the very last one of his baby teeth to come in -- hallelujah!) |

| and this monster. (Although, I must say, she has been a very sweet monster as of late.) |

| We visited "the drawing room of the world" -- St. Mark's Square |
 |
| with St. Mark's Basilica |
 |
| and Doge's Palace. |
   |
| There was the leaning tower of the Church of St. Stephen, |
 |
| spaghetti, |
 |
| and the Rialto Bridge via water taxi. |
 |
