Salzburg, Austria

Last weekend, the four of us spent time exploring beautiful Salzburg, Austria.
Known for being the birthplace (here) of the genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
and Mozart balls,
Salzburg was, of course, the backdrop for many scenes from The Sound of Music,
and we saw just a few of them:

(Shocked, I learned that John can't remember whether or not he has seen this film -- what?!?)
Residence Fountain,
Pegasus Fountain,
the hedge tunnel,
(he's thrilled, really.)
and the Mirabell Gardens.
In addition, we discovered love locks on the pedestrian Markarsteg Bridge
and delicious food at the outdoor biergarten Augustiner Braustubl.
Until next time, Salzburg!
(The kids and I are going to have John see that theatrical gem yet!)
